Being a stay at home without any job can be tiresome. It can also make you not to cater for your family basic needs. Sometimes it makes mom's who don't have a permanent job,to be isolated,being despised either by their husbands,their relatives,friends because they feel that they don't contribute anything to the family. Forgetting that parenting also is a great job.

If you don't have any job and you feel like you're pressed with difficulties,just have hope. I have best ways to make money while you are at home. Even most of the mom's see were working from 8/5 or 9/5 have decided to work from home because they have found the jobs to be done at their own pace,without any pressure from their bosses.

At home you can do many jobs,and even if you have small kids, it will give you easier time to take care of them. You will work at you own pleasure and manage your family easily.

The following are the ways you can make money while stay at home mom.

Blogging

Blogging is the the idea of writing content, photography,videos and publish it online in a website. It entails in writing in various niche on certain topics that would be on parenthood, lifestyle,education, entertainment,news,sports and other topics. 

As a stay home mom you can you opportunity of parenting and write on parenthood and you can write out your skills on parenting. Most of the parents especially the new parents they need or are seeking advise on how they are supposed to bring up their children. They needs your tips that would help them. 

You can also write on various topics that you have a passion in it,you monetize it and you start earning from your come home office.

Online tutor

You can offer online teaching classes to students. There are various platforms that are employing online tutors to teach various subject of their specialization. These platforms give students and they give take a certain percentage of commission and the rest remains to you. 

You can apply on Preply, Amazingtalker,italki, teacherOn, Apprentus, Chegg, TutorMe, Cambly and others . You teach online either by using zoom,Skype google meets,webinars and other available online Internet.

You can also teach a langauge to non native speakers. For example you teach English, Swahili,French, Chinese, Spanish, Mandarin and other foreign langauges.

Virtual Assistant

A virtual assistant is providing administrative services remotely. You work from a remote office especially from home. Virtual Assistant performs the following functions.

Sell transportation, lodging and admission to entertainment activities to individual and groups planning trips.

Translator

Are  you a stay home mom and you know how to speak two languages or more?. Then here's the opportunity for you. You can translate from a different language to your native language. For example,from English to Spanish,French,Chinese, Germany, Mandarin, Swahili and others. 

You are being given a document either that it's written in a langauge then you translate it,or you can translate a speech.

You can register yourself in many platforms that employ translators. For example Fiverr, Upwork, Flex jobs, ZipRecruiter and other platforms.

Proofreader

As a proofreader you make sure that there's no spelling mistakes,the punctuation is done properly,the sentence are written without any errors. 

The clients sends you a document which is written and assigns you to proofread. You should ensure that you have the high proficiency in either English or whatever the language the client wants the document to be proofread.

Graphic designer

Graphic designer creates the visual concepts by use of computer systems or manually by hand,to transmit specific messages to social groups with specific objectives.

Your work is to market,make brands and advertise . You use the visual elements such as colour, topography and imagery.

Company brand identity (logos, typography, and color palettes)

The graphic designer does the following responsibilities.

• User interfaces on apps and websites.
• Books, magazines, newspapers, and other publications.
• Product packaging.
• Advertisements and commercials.

Importance of teamwork as a family

 

A family is an essential institution that contains a large group of people. It can either be nuclear or extended. Nuclear family consist of a father, mother and children. Extended family consist of nuclear family plus the grand parents,great grandparents,aunts and great aunties,uncles and great uncles that are living in the same household.

Being in a family moreso extended it needs a lot of patience in working together as a team. You may find some members differ in certain ideologies and perceptions,thus leading to poor coordination. Some of the family members may have certain status that make them not to or willing to work as a team. For example the wealthier and the poorer can't eat from the same pot ,because their status bar them from mingling with each other. The rich see they are superior and they can't sit with the same table with less fortunate. Through these actions it tears the family members.

Families that work together as a team ,they reap more love, resilience, humility, kindness, responsibility, togetherness and other positive attitudes towards each other.

How to acquire teamwork in a family

Family members can have the teamwork through the following:

Share house chores. Each members should be assigned house chores that would make each and everyone to work hard so as to finish earlier. If the members work together through sharing the chores either in cooking, cleaning the house, making beds and arranging clothes,it brings togetherness.

Playing together. Family members can schedule a day or a time either on the weekends to play. Children needs to explore various activities inorder to develop psychomotor skills. Parents can develop or organise activities like,playing soccer,rope skipping, skirting,racing, Chess, swimming and other activities that children can or would be able to participate. If possible parents should ensure that all activities that are easily affordable can be within the compound or you can take the kids to kids sports club.

Ceremonies. Most of the family members have family functions or gatherings that bring them together. These ceremonies would be wedding,initiation or rite of passage , birthdays ,and others also gather together during graduation.

If the members of the family gather together,they can enhance teamwork. But most of the families due to modernity,poor economy, jealous, greediness and other vices have made the family to break and they no longer come to celebrate together.

Performing these ceremonies helps the family to have or develop teamwork and embrace it.

Volunteer. As a family you can volunteer and provide charitable work in the community. You can decide to provide basic needs like food ,clothes and even built houses for the need in the society. Each family member can contribute in terms of money,food and other items and you schedule on how you can visit the needy in the society. 

You may find some families are having jiggers and you decide to spray the house or treat them through washing their beddings, smearing the houses and taking them to hospital if need be.

Through volunteering,it makes most of the family members to develop a good and helping hand.

Importance of teamwork in the family

1. It helps to create strong family bondage and togetherness. 
2. It helps or makes family members to mentally develop and acquire good decision making.
3. It creates awareness of helping and caring for others.
4. It helps persons to develop sense of belonging .

Sometimes teamwork in the family cannot be achieved and it need tolerance so that you can accommodate all sorts of people. The following are disadvantages of team work in the family

Disadvantages of teamwork

• It leads to wastage of time especially when their a misunderstanding between individuals.
• You cannot make your own decisions because it's a teamwork.
• It leads to conflicts if some members feel less fortunate in the family or when works less than others

Creating teamwork in the family it needs patience and tolerance. Teamwork helps to solve problems easily and helps one to develop communication skills. It can also lead to poor decision making , conflicts if not well managed.

How to balance workload at home and at work as a mother.

Many mothers have a lot to sacrifice so that they can balance the workload. It needs commitment and submission inorder to succeed. 

Am the one of them who struggles to fit at home and at office. I normally work up at 4 am ,prepare breakfast and I dress my kids and make sure they have taken their breakfast before they step out for school.

There are at times I feel like giving up. Imagine you have a 6 month year old , when you wake up to prepare breakfast the kid has woken up. It forces me to stop whatever I am doing ,I breastfed her intending for a sleep the kids end up playing. 

She starts to cheer at you. Sometimes you feel like pinching her ,but your ego can't allow you because she is a kid. So I have to entice her with breastfeeding until she eventually sleeps.

There are at times she deceives that she has slept only to be amazed the calling of ma.ma.ma.  imagine that's is almost 5:30 a.m and the older kid are waiting for you.

Sometimes at work it's so stressful. You are supposed to work from 8am to 5pm and you need to travel at a longer distance. Most of the time I am late for work because I can't manage to be on time. 

During the clock out , I travel to a murram road. When it rains the motorbike sometimes tends not to pass through, because the roads are mud. It forces me to walk on foot for a longer miles so that I avoid getting stuck.

There are times I get rained on because I don't have any alternative. I don't have a personal car, so I have to wait until the rain stops so that I can proceed with my journey. Imagine it's almost 6pm and am supposed to be at home . Most of the times I reach home at 7:40-8:pm.

You are tired and upon reaching home , your house chores are waiting for you. You need to act out faster like a mother of the house ,so that things will not be in a mess.

Has or do your kids normally eat their food without any problem. Take a case where you prepare food and when you serve them ,it becomes hide and seek. Sometimes you have to sweet talk to them with all manners of names Daddy,PAPA,MUM,MA'AM and other names,so that they can eat well.

So it is my responsibility to organize myself and plan on my day to day activities, so that I can fulfill the task of the day. Even if you fill tired and exhausted and sometimes try to help your nanny so that your kids will have a good life.
